Bing Theater at USC

The principal performance venue for USC's School of Dramatic Arts and frequent Hollywood filming venue gets a remodeling.

The venerable Bing Theeater on USC's campus was sorely in need of both acoustical and architectural upgrades due to extensive failures in the interior finishes.  Based on a collaboration formed during the renovation at the LA County Music Center, Dean Madeline Puzo contacted our firm to tackle the considerable problems the building presented.  Not least of these were the physical mis-match between the proscenium and the audience chamber because the building had been constructed in two distinct phases.  The iinnovative solutions solve the acoustical problems.
